Who manages the Eastside Exchange event spaces and provides catering?
VT Group manages the event spaces and provides catering. Catering options include: Food in Bloom Catering, Vibrant Table Catering and f&b cafe and catering.
What are the rental hours?
- Exchange Ballroom: A 12-hour period of your choosing.
- Cascade Rooftop: A 12-hour period of your choosing.
- Charging Room: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, Weekend hours TBD
- Substation: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, Weekend hours TBD
- Prime Powerhouse: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, Weekend hours TBD
What is the history of the building?
The Eastside Exchange Building was built in 1925 and is listed on the national registry list of historic places. Previously slated for demolition, Beam Development stepped in and partnered with the Portland Development in Commission to renovate the building in 2013. The building is silver LEED certified, an achievement in green building.
What is included with the venue?
The Parking Foyer comes with the Exchange Ballroom rental. The Cascade Conference Foyer is included with all conference room rentals. A standard cleaning is also included at no additional charge.
Does parking come with the venue?
Yes, a parking lot with 125 spots is available after 5:30pm on weekdays and all hours on the weekends. Street parking varies from 1-2 hour parking. Additionally, clients may hire valet or manage parking. Bike parking is available in bike-specific rooms with room for 60 bikes.
Who handles all of the AV?
Really Big Video provides all of the audiovisual equipment, including the projectors, screens and specialty lighting.
How do we schedule a wedding rehearsal?
Clients may check in with the Facilities Manager, two to four weeks before the wedding for a date and time.
